The holiday season is a time for family, friends, and fun. It's also a time for decking the halls! Our Sales Team and New Home Specialists got into the Christmas spirit last week by decorating a few trees in our Laurel Ridge model home. Here are some ideal places to put up your Christmas tree in your new home, as well as some ways to get your home ready for the holiday season.
In the living room, the perfect place for your tree is in front of a window or near a fireplace. This will help create an inviting atmosphere when you have family and friends over for holiday gatherings. The kitchen can also be a great place to put up your Christmas tree if you don’t have many windows around. Make sure your tree is away from any food or drink preparation areas. Another great spot is the formal dining room or any window at the front of the home! During the evening, those passing by will be able to see your tree all lit up!
Now that you have a spot for your Christmas tree, it's time to get creative! If you’re feeling extra festive this holiday season, consider stringing up some garland around. You can also use a small tree to decorate other parts of your home, such as on a mantle in the dining room, in an entryway, and even outdoors. Hang stockings on the mantel, string some outdoor lights, and place a few holiday-scented candles around the living room. You can also add a special touch by placing festive pillows on furniture pieces or hanging a wreath above the door.
